I have been working at St. Lucie County Florida

    Pros

The best reason for working for St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners is the work and family balance. The management enable employees to take what ever time is need to take care of the family matters. The benefit package also is better than most companies. The department I work in has generally a very health work environment better than past employers.

    Cons

Currently, there is very little mobility within the County. Up word opportunities are blocked. Furthermore, all though many benefits had not changed in the previous 6 or 7 years they have recently. for long time employees this is a benefit but for new hires it means nothing except for an increase in health insurance rates.
