I worked at St. Michael's Hospital

    Pros

Wonderful place to work - company cares, lives its values, and is full of kind, caring people

    Cons

Having unions breeds mediocrity - those that don't work get protected from dues I have no choice but to pay for

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep it up! Great leadership!

I have been working at St. Michael's Hospital full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I really get along with my coworkers and I am overall motivated by my work. The location is great for commuting by public transit. This is a good first job to gain experience.

    Cons

Discouraged by the management of this place. I was asked to prove myself (i.e. volunteer) for 6 months before they considered giving me a paid job. Tasks are assigned with little notice. It is very difficult to negotiate a raise even after years on the job.

    Pros

Exceptional co-workers who are great to work with, Always open to answer questions and support junior staff.

I worked at St. Michael's Hospital full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good salary and benefits. Interesting to work with some of the Doctors and Residents.

    Cons

The worst work experience I have ever had. Dishonest, evil management in Medical Imaging Department, toxic environment, where people are harassed and emotionally abused by management without any liability. Work culture: Mobbing, bullying of targeted employees by management is ignored and supported by Human Resources. Hard work, experience, knowledge are not valued. There is no room for decency and integrity in this department/Hospital.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To pay a serious attention on Employees complaint reports. It is known fact, Bullying at work place is costly for organizations due to lost of the best professionals, legal fees, dysfunctional departments, which eventually affects work quality, productivity and Employee's moral.
