Advice to Senior Management
I had a great experience with St. Paul Travelers bond and would highly recommend this company.
Pros
I had good health benefits at St Paul Travelers. My manager was great at communicating with our team and gave honest reviews.
Cons
The atmosphere was not very friendly. No one seemed to have much social interaction with people other than who was in their department.
Advice to Senior Management
I think that honesty, team building, and leadership skills are important. And, in such a boring field it is beneficial to attempt to create a fun atmosphere is a much as possible.
Pros
The work schedule is conducive to living a normal life. The compensation is in line with employee's job performance. The company is well respected in the financial services industry which makes it easier to be successful at your job.
Cons
It can be tough to see where your long term growth prospects are going. Earning potential is tied to the profitability of other business units rather than your own specific job performance. Employees are forced to spend too much time performing repetitive reports for senior management rather than working on bringing in more business.
Advice to Senior Management
Spend more time speaking and learning from your lower level employees. Trust your employees to be competent enough to peform their job tasks without being micro managed.
