    Pros

It is a great institution, new management is going to have a great impact. This bank will be in the top soon. Great people.

    Cons

It is great place to work, perhaps the integration between SCB and all WS leavers from Lehman created a toxic environment.

    Pros

good client oriented environment with deep focus on strategy and capital. understanding management that is keen to see you do well. good work-life balance

    Cons

Americas is not part of the footprint, so operations here will remain small(ish). but place still provides many opportunities for individuals willing to work hard and move up and around (globally)

    Advice to Management

Provide more local learning opportunities to business staff. salary review should be frequent and rewarding of superior performance should be key.

    Pros

    - International mobility and travel. - Helpful employees

    Cons

    - Employees do not believe in organisation or product. Always making fun of how horrible it is. I do not understand why they do not leave. - Very average employees. Organisation goes down to the level of the lowest common denominator. Why should the ambitious employees bother putting in any effort, if everything is going to stall because of poor processes and incompetent employees? - Senior management totally out of touch with reality. - Technology is terrible. Very confusing processes - people just make it up as they go along. Often work becomes compensating for poor technology and processes. - Extremely bloated organisation. Too many cooks to spoil the broth. Everyone asks for status updates - creates duplication of communication.

    Advice to Management

Trim the fat in management and senior management, for god's sake. We all hope Bill Winters is a clairvoyant man.
