    Pros

    - International mobility and travel. - Helpful employees

    Cons

    - Employees do not believe in organisation or product. Always making fun of how horrible it is. I do not understand why they do not leave. - Very average employees. Organisation goes down to the level of the lowest common denominator. Why should the ambitious employees bother putting in any effort, if everything is going to stall because of poor processes and incompetent employees? - Senior management totally out of touch with reality. - Technology is terrible. Very confusing processes - people just make it up as they go along. Often work becomes compensating for poor technology and processes. - Extremely bloated organisation. Too many cooks to spoil the broth. Everyone asks for status updates - creates duplication of communication.

    Advice to Management

Trim the fat in management and senior management, for god's sake. We all hope Bill Winters is a clairvoyant man.

    Pros

The benefits and overall growth prospects are very good. The leadership is generally understanding and wants to work with you to help you achieve your goals.

    Cons

There is some tension between groups within the Bank which can be challenging at times. In addition, with several changes in the Bank over the past few years, sometimes communication to lower levels is not as strong as desired.

    Advice to Management

I would suggest more open and honest communication between groups, especially upper management and lower management.

I have been working at Standard Chartered Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits and flexibility. Get to work from home and has great potential if you want to work internationally.

    Cons

Some managers try and hold you back from progressing in your career.

    Advice to Management

Allow people to get more opportunity to grow, if there is room to grow and stop "black balling" them because you don't want to lose and employee. You can only consider yourself a good manager, by promoting and empowering those who served under you.
