Pros
No managers on your back due to the fact your on a bus majority of the day. Also its a great opportunity to interact with a variety of people from different backgrounds and cultures learning new things every trip. If your ever have the opportunity to become an full-time employee the offer great benefits and depending on your shift sometimes you can receive tips up to 60 dollars of tips on a good day. For the most part the supervisors are laid back as long as you do what you are instructed to, which you can't complain.
Cons
Your on a bus all day.
Pros
The healthcare options are decent and the lower management is very pleasant. Many worksites have strong staff camaraderie and excellent clients.
Cons
Low to non-existant opportunities for promotion; management frequently omits information useful or in the best interest of low level employees, employees are often blamed for problems stemming from this practice, guilt and discipline follow from this leading to low level employees being unfairly worked, moved, or denied reasonable requests; general managerial incompetence and conflicting partnerships between management and vendors; payroll mistakes arrise regularly.
Pros
Good medical benefit provided by union 727
Cons
Professional development is not recognize by the company. Any self development by an employee is seen as threat by the front line managers
Advice to Senior Management
Employ people who can bring innovations in to the company and also develop a system of recognizing potential in the company instead of the old system of recognizing incompitent loyalist. Parking is a good business especially in the cities and I hope Jim realize this and protect investors interest.
Pros
-Jobs start later in the day, so it's a good place to work if you don't like the mornings.
-It's a very simple, easy to do job. Very little training or education is needed.
-It was easy to pick up additional hours at the location that I worked at.
-Entry level pay at my location was much higher than pay at similar cashier jobs, and above minimum wage.
Cons
-It was almost impossible to get time off, especially if you only work part time or on weekends, at least at my location.
-Management seemed to be trying to run our location with as few employees as possible.
-Many of the workers at my location were also unreliable. They would frequently call in sick, and were rarely punished for doing so, despite the burden this placed on management and other cashiers.
-Like any customer service job, the customers can be the worst part of the job. Management would also not defend cashiers when they were right and customers were wrong. Instead, they let customers out for free.
Advice to Senior Management
-Treat good employees well, and get rid of bad employees.
-Simplify parking fees and validations so that people easily understand what they're paying for, so that there are fewer misunderstandings and fights between cashiers and customers.
Pros
standard parking was a good place to work, respectful fair pay, could be better, but this is true with a lot of places. Uniforms provided, must return or you pay out of pocket, they clean them for you.
Overall nice place to work , people really nice
Cons
Pay could be better, like most places these days, not really any bad things to report maybe a faster track to advancing career position
Advice to Senior Management
better pay, faster track to advancement of career keep up respect for workers, continue to praise their work a little in the way of appreciation towards workers, goes a long way
Pros
I don't do much, but am paid a reasonable amount for it.
Cons
Boredom. Probably not too many opportunities for growth, from hourly jobs.
Advice to Senior Management
Make benefits info more clear.
Pros
Good pay, decent hours while working through college.
Cons
Late hours and difficult customers.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire within and promote fairly
Pros
It was a fun experience.
Cons
There isnt much room for growth
Advice to Senior Management
NA
Pros
overtime time and half pass 40 hours
Cons
late pay checks company doesn't care about work conditions
Advice to Senior Management
take time out to care
Pros
good pay, easy job, some promotional opportunity
Cons
It seems that a lot of employee morale is down. There are people from all cultures and they have a real hard time getting along. Most memos aend with "Failure to follow this will result in disciplinary action" instead of a positive note or positive environment. Suggestions are given to senior management, but nothing gets done. If pay is wrong, it takes a long time for it to be resolved. There was a time when W2's weren't sent out on time and it took 2 weeks for an answer.
Advice to Senior Management
When you ask for suggestions, act on them.
