Pros – This company in it's heyday was the best company to work for. It maintained the close network and relationships found in smaller, family owned businesses, but had the financial backing of it's new owner Sears. They employed an amazing staff that was full of personality and happy to be working for such a great company.
Cons – Sears has run this profitable business into the ground. Management has zero decision making capability, employees feel like numbers rather than humans, the database system is counter-intuitive, and sales has little to no support in getting customers walking through the door. And pretty much everyone who works there hates their job.
Advice to Senior Management – Until Sears decides to cut their losses and sell back to a private owner, they will never recover and the company will continue to fail.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
Pros – Good managers low-level managers who were friendly. Lots of great deals on clearance appliances.
Cons – Upper management didn't take their website seriously and lost a lot of money by not hiring the right people to run it.
Advice to Senior Management – Invest in a bigger technology department and streamline your outdated processes.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
Pros – Part of SEARS so you get employee discounts
Cons – At time, there was poor and misguided leadership.
Advice to Senior Management – Understand your target market
Pros – None that I can think of.
Cons – Terrible managers. Employees are awful to each other.
