I have been working at Staples part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    --well organized re:schedules, flexible management
--plenty of room for promotion--moderate turnover creates a great opportunity to move up if you're competent.

    Cons

--It's retail, so don't expect great pay (over minimum, though)
--Sometimes you wind up missing your break on busy days. Not management's fault, you just forget.
--Closing shifts can be rough--expect to work (and get paid for) 30-90 minutes longer than you're scheduled

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

Rewarded for good sales behavior, but managers are treated very poorly.

I have been working at Staples part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Employees are rewarded for good behavior and good sales driving.

    Cons

Corporate expects a lot out of these stores that are slowly failing due to unpreventable circumstances. Management is utterly berated for bad numbers even when everyone is performing. Staples only has room for growth if you move up and switch into supervising/management positions, otherwise your wage basically stagnates while you are there. There are constant openings because no one wants to stay here longer than they need to, just like every other retail position. In regards to the Copy Center specifically, the training is terrible (you're thrown into a world of unknown).

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
