    Pros

    Great bonus structure and SIP

    Cons

"10% rule" for salary increases, lack of regional leadership

    Advice to Management

Focus on paying your existing team better. It doesn't make sense to let a good sales person go over a salary disputer and then hire and train a new person at a higher salary!

    Pros

This was to be my "dream job", working in the hospitality industry in human resources. It appeared to have great benefits and opportunity for growth. I was looking forward to learning new systems and bringing my expertise of recruiting and human resources to the table.

    Cons

Lack of training with regards to company processes, company did not provide the tools to do the job (even simple desk type tools), logins for systems was slow and unavailable after three weeks on the job. Gave up and went back to former employer.

    Advice to Management

Be prepared to engage new employees, whether it be through system training or having the proper tools to do the job assigned.

    Pros

Cool management, laid back atmosphere. Managers didn't really ride you about trivial things. The dress code was also extremely liberal. Some people wore what seemed quite unprofessional to work.

    Cons

Getting to the higher pay scales was very hard. It's based on you conversion rate (number of bookings/number of calls). However, getting more bookings increases your average handle time. The managers I worked with didn't take the initiative to help me get to those higher levels which I found frustrating.

    Advice to Management

If someone expresses interest in getting to the higher tiers, provide them with the necessary coaching. The occasional call monitor print out is fine for under performers who basically aren't doing their job, but if you're really trying to excel to a large degree some serious training is called for and deserved for the right candidate.
