    "Fun summer job"

I have been working at Ste Michelle Wine Estates part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Team atmosphere (lots of great people) with a wide variety of tasks.
    Great supervisor!
Nice perks such as reduced prices on wine and regularly enjoying their fantastic summer concert series music.

    Cons

Compensation somewhat low, especially given the "no tips" policy. Can understand why the policy is in place, but as such, bumping up the compensation would be appropriate.

I worked at Ste Michelle Wine Estates full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Some really great people that are passionate about wine and their jobs. Most of the executives are extremely bright and business savvy.

    Cons

The Operation's side of the business does not give the same opportunities to women as it does to men. You need to be very politically savvy to progress on the Operations side of the business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure company values are consistently followed across the company.

    Pros

I really like the wines and there were nice discounts.

    Cons

On some days there were long hours and there were few breaks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would hire a few more people in the shop to keep customers occupied.

    Pros

The discount on wine is nice.

    Cons

Not very competent managers or executives. HR does not respect the employees -- they only care about the bottom line.

I worked at Ste Michelle Wine Estates

    Pros

wine discount, nice grounds, interesting people. They make great products, do good marketing. Employee benefits are good.

    Cons

HR cannot be trusted, they bully people, particularly the VP of HR who is not honest. The CEO doesn't know what is going on, he is looking to establish his legacy in Washingotn wine but doesn't have the emploiyees best interests at heart.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get new management, do an employee survey, look closely at how HR treats employees.
