    Pros

An very progressive company that does values it's employees. Still has some excellent benefits including 5 full weeks of vacation after just 5 years as full-time employee.

    Cons

Still some pockets of old, unqualified management. Engineers looking for a career should only seek product development positions. Engineering positions outside of product development lead to dead-end jobs.

    Pros

Solid company, well managed at a strategic level, fine product solutions and well positioned as a thought-leader in this market sector

    Cons

Field management quite variable from very good to "not so much". Silos exist throughout the organization and lead to some confusion, from product logic to field management.

    Advice to Management

Ensure you are listening to inputs that go broader and deeper than direct reports

    Pros

Learning opportunities. Great company culture that promotes good workplace value. A lot of great coworkers. Cool products. Decent benefits. Very professional organization.

    Cons

Bureaucratic. Slow moving. Reluctant to change and implement new ideas. Very little growth opportunity in branches outside of GR headquarters. Unresponsive management.

    Advice to Management

    Be more open to change

    Pros

Can't say if it is a good place to work or not. I have been gone too long.

    Cons

Very hard to advance there. Too much family.

    Advice to Management

Learn to listen more than you talk. If people are telling you what you want to hear they are of no use. Make sure the reports you are making business decisions are a true statement of what is going on. You were nevergood atthatwhen I was there.

    Pros

Decent benefits, not much else to brag about

    Cons

Top management forces you to work under threat of firing you or doing away with your job. Management is "always" right and you are always wrong, there is no trust. I learned that you cannot trust your immediate boss.

    Advice to Management

People in Michigan are not better than people from other states.

Stable company, very progressive work environment in Grand Rapids but other locations are lacking any of that culture.

    Cons

Management is completely out of touch with what inspires employees to do great things.

    Advice to Management
