I have been working at Steria

    Pros

Steria provides a platform for excellent work-life balance. The project in which I am working is very good and I learn loads of stuff in my 7 years of experience. The Chennai building is amazing and beautiful. Steria is a good to place to work and you can aim high!! But it gives a very good start for Freshers, but at my level opportunities comes down drastically.

    Cons

Steria doesn't have many projects, so opportunities for growth beyond Technical leader is very poor.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do some out of box thinking and try to win some new projects. Its ages since you have contributed and won a project for us!

I have been working at Steria

    Pros

Good pay, work pressure is very less. On-site opportunity are available within 6 months of joining if the person is experienced.

    Cons

Lack of motivation, not many accounts at the pune centre. Learning and knowledge sharing opportunities do not exist. HR and finance dept are not of much help.
HR has spoken to us just once in the past 3 years.
There are not many projects on advanced technologies. The project teams are all very small teams of 4-5 members each. Working environment is very bad in certain projects because the team leads and managers are more involved in monitoring their employees rather than concentrating on the fact that it's the lack of work that is causing these issues.
Lot's of people and finance issues. Policies keep changing and all the burden has to be bourne by the employees.
Even the on-site opportunities are not client facing, therefore it does not give the employee much advantage. Moreover, the financial problems and uncertainities during onsite visit really kill all the interest.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get more accounts and work at Pune Centre. Create professional growth opportunities. Create more client facing roles.
