Former Employee – worked at Steven Madden part-time for more than a year
Pros – Hourly plus commission
fun music
talk to a lot of people
made life long friends
you get 50% off
Cons – Not a lot of hours
You have to buy their shoes (but you get 1 free pair every quarter and 50% off)
Advice to Senior Management – Lighten up, the things you care about customers don't. No one cares if my shorts and inch above my finger tips if I'm fashionable and not dressed like I'm standing on a corner!

Current Employee – been working at Steven Madden full-time
Pros – Great label based out of NYC with great product which makes them a strong wholesaler. Corporate employees and store employees love this funky environment.
Cons – The most inconsistent organization there is, mainly because of executive leadership is a revolving door and the leaders that have been around are extremely dramatic with little ethics. The Human Resource VP is the most unethical person I have ever met in my life. Some people are actually good at their jobs but others make you wonder how they got it.
Advice to Senior Management – Stay cooler than Aldo and hope that a real competitor doesn't enter in the market
