    Pros

Pay is on par with the industry, friendly department and coworkers. As a salaried employee, the schedule is quite flexible.

    Cons

None really to speak of. Human Resources seems to have some trouble at times with things like job title changes, but nothing too serious.

    Advice to Management

Keep trying to improve the support staff, and especially keep working to improve the Stevens Institute of Technolgy name and reputation.

    Pros

A great experience! I loved working with the Summer programs department. Everyone is very nice and easy to work with. If I could I would work full time for the department. It really is a hidden gem in the school. They do a lot of the recruiting for admissions and deserve more recognition for their hard work.

    Cons

The summer programs department deserves more recognition from admissions and the school as a whole

    Pros

Friendly staff that are helpful and encouraging. Great location in Hoboken just outside of NYC

    Cons

There is a very large disparity of skills, attitudes, and competency levels across the different departments and disciplines of the university.

    Advice to Management

Remove the business school. It detracts from the overall goal of the university and trains and encourages students to take advantage of the work of others while contributing nothing themselves.

    Pros

Gained abilities to solve academic problems in the field of marketing with my professor. Learnt to coordinate with undergraduate students.

    Cons

Kind of fixed working mode (I did weekly journal search for my professor). Sometimes less innovative.

    Advice to Management

Continue hire students who are able to think, work, and change. Hopefully have more job opportunities open to the public.

    Pros

I worked at Stevens Post Office part-time (More than a year). Both Supervisor and Manager were very nice to us. Liked a big family. That was my best time in USA. Is a very good opportunity for a student.

    Cons

Thousands of packages during special days, post office will become very crowded and very busy. But that is job in post office.

    Pros

Worked as a Resident Assistant for the Office of Residence Life. Direct management was very supportive and flexible with the staff. The people I worked with were great and knowledgeable.

    Cons

Some of the answers to the concerns we had weren't always straightforward or made people uneasy. Some of the expectations could be communicated in a clearer manner.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your suboordinates in a clearer manner. Don't try to beat around the bush too much with the responses. RAs need to know what to tell their residents to make sure they do an effective job.
