I worked at Sticky Fingers part-time for more than a year

    Pros

It's a busy place sometimes so tips can be great. Easy menu to learn. Food is great.

    Cons

Management is unprofessional. Over scheduled several times sometimes causing very little pay for individual servers. I was let go for having unnatural colored hair even though I had that unnatural colored hair there for over a year and was never told to change it.

    I worked at Sticky Fingers

    Pros

Lots of people interaction, if you're in a very touristy town it's more exciting and you have a better chance at advancement.

    Cons

Like any restaurant industry you have to deal with people who are not the kindest when hungry, so unless you're okay with that stay away from this industry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Very enjoyable work experience, met lots of kind and generous people who were willing to offer advice, recommendations, or help if asked.

    Management is mostly unqualified.
Little chance to climb the corporate chain.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managers should be hired from within. Many of the managers I have worked for had no experience with Sticky Fingers.

    I worked at Sticky Fingers

    Pros

The people are really fun, including management. Everyone wants to enjoy the time spent while at work, and everyone knows they are part of a team. Side work is not very difficult, and the food is great!

    Cons

The only downside is the extremely hot plates that the food is served on. Trays are not allowed, and all plates must be carried without mittens. After a few weeks, your hands get used to touching them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work. I worked at the Concord Mills location, and the management were like coaches to the staff. Competition between locations was always established, and the management were not scared to call a particular server out if they were not selling enough. This could be embarrassing but also rewarding if the server stepped up their sales.
