    Opportunity to manage P&L and build your own team.

    Cons

    Company was not diversified enough and had too many management layers and costs to overcome dramatic decline in volume with housing collapse in Florida

    Advice to Management

    Keep the organization lean and don't create so many levels. The matrix management system that was employed rarely works well.
