    Pros

They care about their employees as people, passionate about how they represent clients, solid core values that are understood throughout the company.

    Cons

very much an "move up or get out" strategy with career paths, and lower level employees experience long hours without minimal regard to work life balance.

I worked at Stout Risius Ross, Inc.

    Pros

Progressive firm with opportunities for outside training. Transparent financial focus with quarterly company wide reviews.

    Cons

Compensation well below competitors. Work/life balance heavily skewed towards work. Expect to work late nights and a lot of weekends. Opportunities are available but pay increases overall are below industry average.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As the firm has grown over the years the objection of hitting the BHAG has watered down the quality of the firm. Much more attention in the early years was paid to the hiring process and getting individuals that were exceptional fits within the firm.

    Pros

Transparent management through quarterly status meetings

    Cons

Little diversity in thought or experience amongst senior management. Seems just like Bear Stearns, a bunch of lifers who are not open to outsiders.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Better incorporate those not home-grown
