  2. Strathcona County pays well for summertime job, but the jobs are menial and lots of favouritism in the labour field.

    Pros

You can work there for the summer and keep coming back every summer. Great summertime job for students that pays well.

    Cons

Your opinion is not valued unless the higher up people like you. You can get mistreated if you are not careful and there is no one there to call them on it.

    Advice to Management

I suggest impartiality for an area of improvement and I suggest you focus on building strong leadership with direction and focus as a lot of the work crews will have extended lunch/15 minute breaks or work slow and a lot of workers who don't put much effort in, don't get any negative repercussions and have just as much potential for advancement as someone who works very hard 8-9 hours a day for the entire summer.

    Pros

Benefits and some locations are nice

    Cons

Management and staff. Lots of projects and people who work there butt off and others who sleep on the job. Are you kidding me! Back stabbing and lack of confidentiality.

    Advice to Management

Pick you staff more wisely. How can someone lead who has no mgmt. skills?

    Pros

very fun place to work, great staff and environment. No pressure and lots of time for projects and very open to new ideas

    Cons

Hard to get anything implemented and followed through on. Too much beaurocracy sometimes which can lead to tension in the workplace. Atmosphere at the gym is very immature

    Advice to Management

    keep it up!
