I have been working at Straumann full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Straumann is the # 1 Dental Implant company in the world. If you want to work for a leader, then Straumann is for you.

    Cons

Straumann is no different than other companies. Mistakes are made and fixed. Nothing is perfect, but management tries to keep the majority satisfied.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Nothing needs to be said on line. They have an open door policy and I provide my feedback regularly.

    Pros

Decent pay, benes, perks, etc. Great tenured and smart folks in HQ and field.

    Cons

Long hours/evening/weekend programs/conventions/etc. Some upper mgmt. plays favorites.

I have been working at Straumann for more than 3 years

    Pros

Straumann offers a good compensation and benefit package, including an on-site gym and cafeteria

    Cons

The office culture is very European. Individual contribution is encouraged as long as it conforms to the ideals already in place by the Lead Team or HQ.

I have been working at Straumann for more than 5 years

    Pros

They have good benefits and a bonus

    Cons

European management style, management says one thing, does another. Waaay overboard on being PC. If someone complains about an employee, they are charged, tried, convicted and THEN told at the "sentencing" that there is a problem. No actual investigation to see if the complaint was even valid or accurate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do what you say. You tout "spend it like it's your own" but then management throws money away on frivolous stuff like it's water. Performance raises might be 1% - 2% but then they'll spend $7,000 on a cooking class as a "team building" activity for some departments. They have a "Simply Doing More" award but for the past 5 years, NO ONE in manufacturing has ever gotten one, it's only for the prima donnas in sales and marketing.

I worked at Straumann part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The company culture was great, opportunities to move up were there, and senior management is always open to new opinions.

    Cons

There weren't many cons during my time at this company. An individual must be able to handle a fast paced environment or it will be easy to fall behind.

    Pros

great training, great money at times, great benefits, many products are very good.

    Cons

culture discourages ideas or individual creative thinking. managers are not hired for ability to manage but to pass down orders. consumes every part of your life. Leaving without attacks to your character or reputation is rare.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Straumann full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The work was easy, never an overload.

    Cons

Micro-management in the Clinical Department...enough to make you miserable. Nothing was fair and no one is treated equally, favorites are played.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to employees during their exit interviews, after so many people leaving in one department (within a short period of time), its clear there is an issue.

I have been working at Straumann

    Pros

Great health benefits, bonuses and salary raises.

    Cons

The company needs a serious overhaul regarding the mangement such as supervisors and mangers that actually know what they're doing or actually have experience. Rather than relying on the staff to train supervisors

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop having favoritism towards certain employees who does not deserve recognition. Focus on the staff that contributes and go above and beyond to accomplish tasks
