Current Employee – been working at Stream Global Services full-time for more than a year
Pros – This is a great place to gain employment for those with little to no work history as they will hire anybody with a heartbeat.
Cons – As a middle manager you constantly feel like you are in the middle of a way trying to treat employees fair and trying to make senior management happy. Unless you are a Douche, which there are plenty and they will just sell out their staff for kudos. I was hired as a manager otherwise I would have never been one because I don't "play the game right" or have a nice enough rack.
Advice to Senior Management – To entry level.....don't feel so entitled, you are an adult babysitter, a glorified agent at most. at the end of the day you are as expendable as any front line agent.
to senior management....promote people that can do the job and let them do it.

Former Employee – worked at Stream Global Services full-time for less than a year
Pros – It has a big parking lot.
It has heat and water.
It has desks and chairs
It has carpet and bathrooms.
Cons – The pay is advertised as 11+ but it pays only 10.25 per hour (Lie #1)
It is advertised to have benefits, dental and life insurance, but it is just 50/50 plans designed to enrich their older and higher up employees. (Lie #2)
You jumped through hoops to meet your end of the bargins. The management then made a lot of concrete promises on a person-to-person level but absoluely failed to follow through any of them. (Big package of Lies #3)
When you asked about the promises, they made you wait for weeks. When you asked again after a few weeks with verbal promises to definitely get back to you, they simply completely ignored you and pretended nothing actually happened. (Big stack of Lies #4)
Advice to Senior Management – Fire yourselves.

Former Employee – worked at Stream Global Services full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – -steady income, full-time
-met a lot of really great people
-learned a lot, gained skills I can take elsewhere
Cons – -is fine at first but they will work you to the point of burn out/nervous breakdown and treat you like damaged goods-next please
-training is inadequate, misleading
-metrics are ridiculous, impossible to achieve, feedback is given in the form of threats
-people crying all the time, company acts like its their fault they are cracking under the pressure
-I expect policy to change often but was unbelievable so much so no one even bothered to follow it
-emailing my bathroom time to the whole floor ...really
-general feeling on floor is of paranoia, dread and anxiety everyday
-management sets everyone and themselves for failure often by promising to client what cannot be delivered then blame the agents
-management uses the economy, industry norms to explain why we don't get raises but will let us know how many billions of dollars they made each quarter
Advice to Senior Management – - be realistic about what you can do for your clients, talk to your agents about what can and cannot be done- they know
- allow people to work where they excel - good for business
-posting "your checks don't bounce" as a perk on the wall to discourage us from complaining about working conditions is insulting and I've never worked anywhere where this was okay never mind a "perk"

Current Employee – been working at Stream Global Services full-time for less than a year
Pros – Professional, supportive, friendly, "positive" work environment. Promotes from within; career development, and advancement opportunities.
Cons – Training is focused primarily on the "product" knowledge base; not enough time spent on computer applications, navigating between, and learning the programs. Average starting pay in the Twin Cities, for the call center industry, is over $13.00 an hour; considerably higher than the starting wage at Stream, $11.00 per hour.
Advice to Senior Management – More hands-on learning, regarding the practical aspects (computer applications and scripts & flows) through role playing, tutorials, exercises, and through mock calls, before going "live".

Pros – Friendly People
Cool products to support
Cons – Long hours for salaried positions
Overworked and Underpaid

Advice to Senior Management – Upgrade the dress code for a stronger sense of professionalism and morale. Pay managers more as they work way more than 40 hours per week.

Current Employee – been working at Stream Global Services full-time for more than a year
Pros – Very responsive to schedule changes if you need it. They give 15 min breaks instead of the state required 10 min. Good medical, dental, and vision. Good management and upper management. Lots of room for growth. They have a liberal attendence attendence policy and you can miss 7 full days in six months before u get fired. I have worked at other call centers and this is a much better call center. Great floor support. I reccomend working here to anybody. All u have to do basically show up and u are golden. Also its nice to be able to move contracts if u get burned out. Also pays more then min wage.
Cons – Need to give yearly wages. Need to fire those with poor attendence, they give them too many chances. Also they need to hire better ppl as some are just gamers who don't show up for work and do a poor job, also need to shower.
Advice to Senior Management – Give pay rasies and hire better ppl with more work ethic.
