    Pros

As an intern I was given meaningful projects that I was responsible for. Loved all the people I have met and worked with during my time there. I definitely felt valued and useful as an intern and was given plenty of opportunities for trainings and access to upper management as avenues for learning and growth.

    Cons

Not the best paying compared to some other companies

I worked at Stryker (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Ability to make a ton of money if you have the right opportunity and the right manager.

    Cons

No one really cares about you or has your back unless you are in the inner circle. Everybody attempts to become part of the culture because they produce a lot of wealth, but people often find it hard to relate to a lot of the absolute meatheads that hold your career in their hands.

    Pros

Gallup organization, almost everyone focuses on results, not politics. The company really cares about you as an individual and focuses on building on your strengths, they do NOT focus on your "weaknesses." #19 on Fortune 100 Great Place to Work - that says a lot.

    Cons

Very fast pace, you have to be able to produce results and get the job done.

    I worked at Stryker full-time

    Pros

Can learn a lot about the medical device business. Pay is not bad at all.

    Cons

Watched to many good workers fired because they didn't get along with the few that kissed the bosses but. If they didn't like you or felt threatened that you would replace them, all they had to do was make a false complaint a few times and you were gone. There was no investigation. As much as they preached during the first week about documenting everything correctly, they had no problem with creating false test data to further there products along. Thats when I walked off the job.

    Advice to Management

They already think they know better then everybody.

I have been working at Stryker full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Stryker offers a strong sales culture with all internal teams aligned to create better products and services for not only it's customers but it's sales teams success.

    Cons

Because the company is publicly traded it makes new product launches very timely. This makes it frustrating when waiting for new products to sell. Ultimately it's a good thing to know that Stryker runs thorough testing on it's product before launch to ensure product success and positive patient outcomes.

    Advice to Management

Don't assume that all sales reps in the field know everything there is to know about sales. Provide more sales mentoring and coaching or offer regular sales courses.
