I have been working at Stryker UK

    Pros

Stryker used to be an ok place to work, good people, reasonable benefits, not much competition, work as many hours as you want to

    Cons

Too many people focused on pleasing next level managment,"kissing ass" I believe is the term
they should be more interested in doing the right thing each and every time, when people speak
out about their concerns they seem to be given a bad name, labelled as troublemakers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't treat your workers like sheep, don't "pretend"you are listening, open your ears and you just
might receive a pleasant surprise, not everyone that speaks up is a complainer, they have a voice
and they care,if they did'nt they would keep their mouths shut and concentrate on their careers

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Stryker UK full-time

    Pros

Some people have been there a long time and are very loyal

    Cons

Most of the people in the business are either too focussed on their own job to care about the wider business, and the people who are involved in the wider business have their heads firmly buried - either in the sand or up each others backsides.

It is not a fun or good place to work. Most of the staff are miserable and the senior management have no idea about how to motivate or engage the workforce.

If people start to challenge the status quo, or someone decides their face doesn't fit, they are out without being given a chance. Everything will be done to make their life miserable until they either quit or are got rid of.

Lots of things are proposed and suggested but very few are ever carried out.

Don't let them fool you that they are "all about the patient". They are all about the numbers.

Unless this area is a passion for you and you want to be a good sales rep, I would not recommend Stryker.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wake up and realise the problems that you have in the workforce, and do something about it rather than producing a lot of hot air and very little results.

Stop being hypocrites. You care only about numbers and patient care is a distant thought.

I have been working at Stryker UK

    Pros

Great people locally, real sense of team play, great products, bright future in sales.

    Cons

Top management do things that are not easy to explain, strategy keeps moving from one direction to another without any reason.

Good people get laid off, people that challenge status quo and have a opinion, get put aside.

Only brown noses get promoted and continue the clueless strategy changes.

really hard to be middle management, great people down, horrible bosses up!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

review top management in Europe, get rid off brown noses, focus on the basics around countries.
