    Pros

wonderful culture/co-workers, nice benefits I need extra words to place here for Glassdoor because they require a 20-word minimum and I honestly don't have anymore "pros," so I'm typing this sentence.

    Cons

low pay, tons of info to learn, applicants should have an interest in jewelry to enjoy their work, not the best choice for those who are breadwinners, would rather hire outside of the firm than from within

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring externally! So much QUALITY talent left Stuller because of being underpaid/bored. Many times, I'd see new faces in the office, only find out that these folks were hired externally.

I worked at Stuller full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Stuller has decent benefits and offers benefits of all kinds that you may want, the deductibles are a bit high though for such a larger company. The co-workers are pretty nice. When you pass someone in the hallway they are always willing to tell you hello. Nice, clean facility.

    Cons

The cons would be, you do not have much freedom. I understand why they would be so strict, but I personally couldn't handle not being able to see outside/not being able to go outside during the day (unless you smoke, which I do not and you can't go otherwise). Also, I left Stuller for a much (MUCH!) smaller company who offers better benefit plans and it would have taken me 7 years to make $1 more an hour. I also feel that work gets thrown on you at a moment's notice with unrealistic deadlines. I also feel like there is too much emphasis on quantity, not quality. The specific department I was in timed every task we did and we were not allowed to talk while working and was told it was best not to go to the bathroom more than three times because it would mess up our "times."

    Advice to Management

Consider compensating employees more or shopping around for better benefits. It's not about quantity, but quality! You have great employees who do great work, but sometimes feel too stressed by deadlines and having to time tasks.

I worked at Stuller full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I was always busy which helped the day move fast

    Cons

Very tight security which made it difficult to come and go for appointments. Upper management pushed managers to micro-manage employees.

    Advice to Management

Recognizing employees when they achieve exceptional results with bonuses and incentives.

I worked at Stuller full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Family-oriented work environment. Form great friendships. Starting pay is great for college students. Dress code (on the manufacturing/plant side) is jeans, t-shirts, and tennis shoes. Great benefits (401K, Med/Dental/Vision, paid holidays, vacation, sick/personal days) for Full-Timers Weekends off Overtime is time and a half (because it's hourly) Trained to do the job you're hired for and you learn more as you move up in the company.

    Cons

The work can sometimes get overwhelming especially during the busy season (Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day) and you will have to stay late until all the work/orders are out. If you work in the administrative/call center, it's an in-bound calling center so when they're busy, even if your not a Telesales Consultant in title, you will be taking in-bound calls, which takes away from the work you're actually hired to do. The customers can be a little rude (and your calls are monitored and even if you give the slightest disinterest in helping them because of that, you get told something about it). You do eventually reach a glass ceiling. There's a lot of micromanagement and good suffer for the bad, and some managers are just that in title and not in deed. There's some unappreciativeness in certain areas. Raises are non-negotiable.

    Advice to Management

Please learn to appreciate and listen to the employees a little more. Embrace those who desire to move up and pay them what they're worth, as that's part of the appreciation.
