Pros
No much work pressure. You're expected to work longer and harder when company's committment to customers are endangered.
You've the liberty to give proper reasons for not able to finish your work. The reasons are given valid thoughts and employee's concerns are respected.
No dress code, but obviously decent dressing is enforced, which is good.
Nice and relaxed work environment. Most of the teams and managers are friendly.
Committment to work and customer satisfaction is expected from a employee to a normal level.
Very supportive services provided by organization.
Decent salary when compared with same level in other companies.
Good level of facilities provided. Internet connection provided (obviously banning unwanted sites in a company).
You'll enjoy your work and stay in Subex !
Cons
Career growth and professional learning can be given more importance.
Advice to Senior Management
More effort to be put for emlpoyee's growth in company. Onsite opportunities to be increased. Quality of food served can be improved.
Pros
Small company , very transparent and friendly management. Decent pay structure. Oppurtunity to work in latest technoligies, scope of innovation.
Cons
Althought the management is motivated, the decisions made when it comes to acquisition . More research in this line should be done.
Advice to Senior Management
Focus on long term . More researched acquisitions. Maintain the same employee friendly atmosphere. Transparency in administration. Keep the aspirations of the employees.
Pros
The process be damned !! You can do what you want , how you want , when you want.
You don't have to worry about unnecessary social conventions etc. Wear what you want ..
A very informal atmosphere. A small company , so you will end up knowing most people by their first names.
Cons
There is no work/life balance. If you intend to get anywhere in the company prepare to put in 80 hour weeks atleast.
Initially when I joined there were some highly competent engineers. I mean smart people, however these days it seems to be more of a code monkey shop. Which was when I decided to call it quits.
You also get burdened with a lot of tasks at odd times .
You are under constant pressure and you might be shifted from one team to another if they feel resources are less in a team.
Also a good developer needs a good conjusive environment for work.
4 people / cubicle is a bit too much.
This company is run by sales people and you know that engineering is second fiddle, which is not what a geek wants.
Advice to Senior Management
Management was a disappointment at subex.
Most of the highly smart people feel diluted by the incompetence surrounding them , This includes some pretty incompetent managers , whose idea of a good performer was the number of hours worked.
Pros
One of the few Product development based out of India
Cons
Currently in a rightsizing mode.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep the employees in sync with all the decision making that happens behind closed doors
