    Pros

Was a fantastic job in high school. Boss was fantastic and trusted me to close the restaurant several night a week.

    Cons

The smell of subway sticking to you afterwards must shower before going out after work.

    Advice to Management

Nothing really. Was run like a great little sandwich shop. Boss was generous and friendly. Was an overall great experience.

    Pros

Easy and relaxed work. You often get a break when there are no customers. Depending on the store you can pick your own hours.

    Cons

Low pay and you can deal with some rude customers at times. If it is busy, it usually means there is more prep work to do in the back.

    Advice to Management

Keep two or more employees at all times.

    Pros

After years of making sandwiches at home, I made the decision to go pro. I knew a lot, but I also had a lot to learn. To me, Subway was like sandwich college. I entered a raw cucumber and came out a delicious pickle. Now I work on Wall Street.

    Cons

This is isn't their fault, but while I was there I ate so many sandwiches that eventually I got sick of sandwiches. Lately I just eat soup, although I'll eat a burger if it's on the menu.

    Advice to Management

Give customers the option to choose one bread choice for their top bun and another for their bottom bun.

    Pros

Free HALF a sandwich during your break thats about it

    Cons

    1. Employees steal your tips, especially since many of these are franchise owned by a family. 2. Minimum wage 3. no overtime 4. no benefits 5. very long work hours and your back will hurt like crazy, too much for a human to handle 6. Working here as a college student was the worst mistake I have ever don in my life, it made me very depressed and I wish I could go back in time and never accept the job. PLEASE AVOID. Horrible franchised company. 7. Rats all around in the backroom and they poop on food, and we still have to serve it to customers

    Advice to Management

more benefits, work life balance, more supervision, change everything

    Pros

Hands on experience with making subs, and interacting with customers. Great training program, competent managers

    Cons

Pay is steady, but chances for raises take a while. As a student working part time raises are hard to come by.
