I have been working at Subway

    Pros

I get money, every 15 days, and I get hit on by cute guys. Cute, fit guys come by a lot.

    Cons

Gross customers who are rude to my coworkers and me. Gross customers who hit on me. Stressful job, low pay.

    Pros

Daytime hours were good for summer break employee. All of the tasks were reasonable. Enjoyed who was I working with, and especially my manager.

    Cons

Pay was average for part time fast food work, but it would have been nice to at least get a tiny discount for lunch.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what your doing, remain friendly both to employees and customers. Maybe offer some sort of employee rewards.

    Pros

Relaxed atmosphere, working with customers, good management, flexible scheduling, opportunity for raises, fair starting wage, plenty of options of location

    Cons

Lots of working alone. Subways with no drive-thru often have just one employee during non-peak hours (lunch, dinner, etc.). No option for full time employment at the Sandwich Artist level

    Advice to Management

Hire managers with more discretion. Store managers can either make or break the entire experience, and often will have a corresponding effect on employee happiness/turnover and similarly with customer satisfaction

    Pros

Fun and interesting job. Made tons of friends and met so many new people. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a laid back job

    Cons

The pay is pretty bad but you can't expect that much when working at subway. Overall, I had a great experience so I would definitely recommend.

    Pros

Laid back, flexible, good part time job

    Cons

Constant bickering between day shift and night shift

    Advice to Management

Working here was enjoyable but should be left to the teenagers or people attending school. Depending on how busy your area is, you may have a lot of down time. But you should make sure to get all your tasks completed otherwise you will be scheduled for 10pm and won't get off til midnight.

    Pros

It was great for a starting job. Free food is always a perk, close to home and bus, location was great, boss was fair.

    Cons

Not a career but a great stepping stone. Hours are long be prepared to clean the bathroom and sweep almost every second. Customers can be rude.

    Advice to Management

Management was nice. Some of the employees were a little bit catty. Free food is always a good incentive. Good luck.

    Pros

Fast-paced work area. Everyone at the job does all the positions (i.e. make sandwiches, cash register, stock and prepare food, clean kitchen and floor).

    Cons

Minimum pay does not make you enough if you work a lot of hours. If there is short staff you have no help in preparing and stocking food, also to cash out if you have a long line. Closing takes almost an hour to clean and put away supplies.

    Pros

    Good food and very social

    Cons

No discounts and work alone a lot

    Advice to Management

Train newbies longer and better. And don't have them run the store by themselves until they believe they are ready.
