I have been working at Sullivan Tire and Auto Service full-time

    Pros

Benefits, career opportunities, family business, privately owned, training, multiple locations in New England, one of the top independent tire dealers in New England, caring owners.

    Cons

Little downside from my experience with the company. The rapid growth of the last few years is challenging for the management team, but ultimately will place the company in a strong position in New England.

    Advice to Management

Maintain the family atmosphere as the company expands. Keep on caring equally about customers and employees

I worked at Sullivan Tire and Auto Service full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great pay and benefits. Initially hired for W.Lebanon NH. Short drive from my home. Great manager. Warehouse in W.Lebanon NH closed. company kept me employed at new location w/buyout option if it didn't work out

    Cons

Warehouse closed. Moved to Auburn NH location. The manager of that location didn't really want us.Claimed we made too much and just generally played games until we took the buyout. The commute was murder as well.156 miles round trip

    Advice to Management

Transfer or fire the manager as he does not foster trust among the employees and is duplicitous in character. Auburn manager gives Sullivan Tire a bad name, which is a shame because it is otherwise a great company.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Sullivan Tire and Auto Service full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Respect, and Growth If you have drive the company immediatly gets on board and you both begin to grow almost immediatly!

    Cons

Once you have reached a much higher level in your career climbing from that point can seem almost impossible.

    Advice to Management

Depending on the work ethnic you have and your position this industry as a whole requires some serious dedication. The automotive industry is not a 9 -5 job and if that is your attitude you will get no where. Success is aided by your employer and driven by you.

I worked at Sullivan Tire and Auto Service full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Hourly Pay. Good place for a new mechanic to learn because everybody is paid by the hour. Others will help. Plenty of opportunity to move up in the company if you want.

    Cons

Fast paced, but any automotive shop is fast paced. It's an auto shop. I recommend not entering the auto repair industry, but this is the place to do it if you want to.
