Cons – was not considered part time..only per diem...no benefits

Advice to Senior Management – keep up the good work

Cons – Long hours, salary competitiveness, lack of management opportunities

Advice to Senior Management – Provide a career map or track for your supervisors to help with professional development. Growth potential always helps with retention and employee engagement.

Pros – Easily accessible from most locations.

Cons – Salary and staffing could be better. Parking is inadequate, but they are working on it.

Advice to Senior Management – Listen to your employees. When there is an issue regarding employee retention, and possible plans of action are recommended, why not at least give it a trial? The same problems have been going on for at least 20 years and are not being addressed adequately. You are constantly losing valuable experienced emplyees due to lack of satsfaction.

Pros – Pretty much hired us to do our jobs and allows us to do so with little or no interference most times.

Cons – Nothing I can't work or live with. It seems management doesn't see the difference between Hospital and Retail environments.

Advice to Senior Management – Ease up on the "work together, play together" activities.

Cons – My floor was frequently understaffed which led to some crazy times.

Advice to Senior Management – Make sure all floors are appropriately staffed.

Advice to Senior Management – limit the growth of Summa. Focus more on what we currently have.

Pros – Some of the best reasons to work for Summa Health System are that they are a growing comp the any, if you are not satisfied in decision that you made in the department you work in you can transfer to a different department.

Cons – You have to put your time in. No ecsuses work it out and you will get the pto to take vacaions and have time off.

Advice to Senior Management – The way for advancement at Summa Health System is through Education, they have reimbursement options. The also have a School of Nursing.

Pros – love taking care of patients in a fast setting. summa has improved my skills and knowledge. nice to have the weekend program.

Cons – its sad to see young people destroying their life with alcohol and drugs. i see lots of lost souls.

Advice to Senior Management – our leaders are our examples. someone we look up to. i work with wonderful managers in my setting. they are kind and i do look up to with the upmost respect.
