I have been working at Summit Health as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

Lots of work, and a very big company.

    Cons

They always underestimate the mileage, you can change it, but it results in a delay of payment up to a month or more, most of the time I just settle for less and get paid on time. Its unfair, but unfortunatley if you don't catch it before you work the event ,there is nothing you can really do about it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Summit Health as a contractor

    Pros

lots of room for personal growth as you are given huge responsibility right of the bat. direct deposit.

    Cons

no benes, perks, raises. Do not expect positive feedback. This company thrives on negativity. Often they do not pay you for all hours worked/billed. Very minimal training given as screener and as lead. Believe it or not, this company is cutthroat with their employees. Screeners & nurses have been fired on the spot for minor infractions. Mileage reimbursed in significantly below govt rate. Very high turnover rate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize people who work for Summit regularly--simply by acknowledging people by name instead of mass emails. Pay the mileage and tolls promised in contracts. Provide training and supervision to leads. Insist that leads treat screeners & nurses with respect and dignity.

I worked at Summit Health as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

I thought I would like the flexibility~ they call you day and night. A nightmare!

    Cons

They do not pay you for your work for months. No one answers emails or phone. No one stays because they do not get paid and if you go to an assignment everyone is new. They do not pay for training unless you work 2 assignments

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to manage and get your work done on time. Not paying people because the manager quit is not the contractors fault

    Pros

Flexible start time and good people to work with.

    Cons

Traffic in the area is bad especially in the winter, and a 10 minute drive turns into 40 minutes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Raise the pay of employees. Most employees leave not because of working conditions, but from low salaries.
