I have been working at Sun Health full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The work is very rewarding as we are directly impacting people's lives for the positive in the areas of health and well-being.

    Cons

Like all companies, it's not perfect and the work can be stressful at times, but overall it's a very positive environment with people who like what they are doing at all levels of the organization.

I have been working at Sun Health full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Working for and with residents

    Cons

Some management is not supportive. Time is not valued, they think everyone is dispensable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is a lot of talk about valuing employees but when it really comes down to it management does not care if someone has been there 10+ years and liked by residents... If you get on a managers "bad" side you are done (in every department).

    I worked at Sun Health

    Pros

A feeling that you're positively impacting the lives of seniors

    Cons

No work/life balance; pace is insane, cutthroat culture; diversity non-existent; the place is a walking HR violation. People are leaving in droves.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The pace is burning everyone out.

    Pros

Intentions were right but the management of the senior staff in the facility left a bad taste in everyone's mouth

    Cons

Cash Flow was tight and it was difficult to manage the entire building on such small amount of money. The facility suffered due to this fact

    Pros

None that I can think of.

    Cons

Top heavy and very bureaucratic, lots of politics for a small organization. Over inflated egos and salaries for leadership team.

I worked at Sun Health full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    West Valley location. That's all.

    Cons

Low wages & no advancement opportunities.. never saw or heard of anyone promoted from within. They always hire outside the organization & those people have no clue about the company. Very poor and disorganized culture at Sun Health; also lots of paranoia - everyone feels like their job is in jeopardy!

I worked at Sun Health full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Close to home, meal discounts.

    Cons

This organization is full of incompetent leaders... Buffoons. No one ever really knows what is going on and all the senior leadership appear confused. They get their feelings hurt when you let them know how inefficient things are. A lot of employees are really dissatisfied, but refuse to speak because of repercussions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just go away! It's time to retire!
