Pros
Pride of working for innovative company
Most everyone working there was smart, motivated, and competent
Good cooperation within BU
I enjoyed going to work each day. Coworkers worked well together and solved problems and created with minimal friction, but for some reason the VP level management never was able to stay organized, focused, and on track with a plan.
Over the years, as new talent was hired, promotions of newer high performers was discouraged in favor of long term employees resulting in an inflexible upper management group that was unable to adapt and learn as the company grew.
Cons
Never ending politics at the highest management levels
Unclear direction and a desire to do it all rather than make management prioritization
I actually had a project plan with every item marked critical-do first
Pros
compensation and benefits, exceptionally good work/life balance
Cons
focus on revenue not profits. rifs were always bottom up. management never changed, was shielded by layoffs.
