    ProsGreat orientation, good salary, can't really remember anything else

    ConsOnce I gave my notice to leave, I was shipped out to the middle of nowhere, Texas and told to treat 102 year-old man for dysarthria - "to justify your salary." NOT a good experience - no wonder I left!

    More realistic case mix expectations than some other companies, rather than pushed to meet unethical or unrealistic categories

    ConsIt's hard to list pros/cons of the company when you can't get past a domineering, overly critical and sarcastic therapy program manager. There appears to be no one for therapy program manager to be held accountable for their actions. There exists poor team morale, feelings of being unappreciated and undervalued. No wonder they have been acquired by another company.

    Advice to Senior ManagementAllow more outlets for open communication for clinical therapists to discuss the role of the manager in the team dynamic.

    Nice Company to work for

    Physical Therapist Assistant (Current Employee) Markleysburg, PA

    free continuing ed credits
    nice team to work with
    3 weeks vacation first year
    realistic daily productivity goals

    ConsFound out after i was hired, all my other co workers got a sign on bonus except me because i didn't ask for one
    and i could have negotiated a higher rate of pay

    Advice to Senior ManagementBe consistent with pay/bonuses, because even though employees aren't supposed to discuss private matters like this, they do and it can make them upset. But overall, good job!

    ProsGood Pay; good clinical atmosphere. All therapy staff work together as a team. The company stresses team interaction. Flexible work schedules and they understand that we all have a life

    ConsOTs do no cognitive therapy. Benefits are only so-so. PTO is minimal. Documentation is not specific so picking up someone else's patient is difficult.

    This company grows stronger while other major companies struggle with Medicare changes.

    ProsCompany has always had strong clinical focus, which drives operations. Most companies out there focus mainly on operations, which burn out therapists. You will find therapists at every level of senior management, who understand the needs of patients, unlike the money focused MBAs you will find in others.

    ConsCuts in Medicare have created challenges like everywhere else.
