Pros
Competetive package, Good facilities like anuual health checkup, etc.
Cons
Longer promotion cycle, takes time to climb up the hierarchy
Advice to Senior Management
Shorten promotion cycle.
Pros
Good salary,
Transparent Management ,
Flexi timing
Cons
If your product become stable nothing much to grow technically.
Pros
SunGard is at times an amazing place to work, and then you get the other extreme where you want to just shake your head in astonishment at some decisions. More often that not, you get an opportunity to work in an international setting and those Sungard colleagues sitting across from you are smarter than you, more experienced than you, and knows everything about you before you even sat down. Then you recognize how cool and down to earth almost everybody is and you get on with it. You always learn something new everyday.
Cons
I'll list in no particular order:
1)Its huge - 23,000 employees around the world.
2)Its fragmented - Very large segments all vying for the attention and budget/compensation dollars. 3)There's a reorg every year - new managers every year, new expectations.
4)Very top heavy
5)BS routine about "titles don't really matter" - really?
Advice to Senior Management
You've got really great people working at SunGard. They are a dedicated and professional bunch. Take care of them and they will take care of you.

Advice to Senior Management
Please put in some proper processes
Pros
Good workplace staff
Improving systems
Good balance of work and home
Cons
Horrible sales staff
No growth
Not a place for advancement
No connection between senior management and operations
Advice to Senior Management
Need to develop a practical vision for the company to follow and articulate how that vision will become a reality
Pros
Hi-tech; corporate discipline; opportunities for growth; rewards for success; responsibility & accountability enforced.
Cons
M&A's distracting and disturbing to the core.
Advice to Senior Management
Take the company public again and let other share in its success; private control is good for management but poor for everyone else, especially with only Board oversight.
Pros
- Good geographic position (in the center of Paris)
- Friendly colleagues
Cons
- worst top management ever, with poor skills in both management and technique
- very low salary compared to similar jobs
- no career opportunities
- zero respect for clients
- massive de-localizations in Tunisia with a huge loss in quality processes and software engineering knowledge
Advice to Senior Management
Sungard Global Trading was previously GL Trade and was acquired by Sungard in the end of 2010. I predict this firm will go bankrupt within a year or two if it keeps managing people like in the 80s, with zero reactivity and no respect for their employees. Wake up Sungard GT before it's too late ! The world doesn't wait for loosers companies unfortunately, only the best will survive.
Pros
international company which is known all over the world
Cons
training process is not good at all
Advice to Senior Management
work on training and employee packages
Pros
one of the best things that I like working for SunGard is their flexibility in work schedules and their understanding of the balance of work and family. They do that better then any other company I have worked for.
Cons
In certain areas growth is not the easiest, the structure is more flat which is bad and good but makes climbing the corporate ladder difficult.
Pros
Flexi Timing Good location change of oroject
Cons
Lenient no planning no good leads in my team
Advice to Senior Management
Don't be blinded by what is shown try to find on your own the worth of people
