    I worked at SunPower full-time

    Pros

Great place to gain understanding of a broad array of solar topics, from technology to marketing to project finance

    Cons

Company strategy is too diverse for the management structure. Diversity among business lines could and should be a strength, but executive management does not properly delegate authority, input and decision making to mid-management. This leads to unclear direction to rank-n-file employees and frustrated managers.

    Advice to Management

Be more open to input from staff and mid-management and delegate intelligently. Managers will make some good decisions and some bad decision (just like executive leaders). Stifling managers leads to a huge loss of opportunities generated from the ground and turnover of the most creative and proactive employees and managers.
