    professional growth, friendships made, commission and bonus schedule

    Cons

    make one unintentional mistake to help a client and despite your integrity, character, history, track record, and leadership, there is no mercy given. employees continue to feel that nothing they do is good enough for management. company does not truly listen to its employees - are more concerned about reaching a targeted number (voice of the teammate) instead of making a true difference to employees.

    listen to your employees, especially those most valued to you. have a backbone - voice concerns, have guts to do the right thing even if its not the popular thing. know your employees and stand up for them. remember what it feels like to work in a branch. understand the numbers and see in between them.

    Pros

    Good work platform and customer service. The morale of the employees is so so and the benefits are lacking compared to other companies.

    Pros

    Benefits are great, in-stores work some holidays get paid time and a half.
    Upgraded software makes life easier when applying for loans/accounts etc...

    Cons

    In-stores get many responsibilities such as teller/FSR work, get paid very little.
    One month you would exceed your sales goals and receive praise, if you are having a bad month management jumps down your neck.
    They tell you to follow certain policies and to treat every client equally, yet wealthier clients are given exceptions and you are seen as the bad guy for doing your job.
    Hours at in-store would be great if compensation was increased.
    Enjoyment of job depends on manager, some managers are more strict than others.

    Listen to employees, if responsibilities increase, increase pay accordingly. Hire competent managers, stop changing policies so much.

    Pros

    While senior management is doing its best to ruin the bank those that work at the branch level still show a great deal of respect for those they serve.

    Cons

    This bank is more worried about what they can do to fill the pockets of senior management than they are providing consistent compensation for those at the branch level

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Remember that you are only as good as those you train and hire. If you forget about those that work hard at the branch level you forget your clients as well

    Pros

    SunTrust had excellent health insurance. The company also had performance rewards if you met their company-wide goals. From the first day of employement, you receive two weeks of vacation for the year.

    Cons

    The goals that are set are company wide and are more easily attainable in some parts of the country. Some branches had a difficult time meeting goals and were penalized because of it. Most branch managers micro manage and stay on you about getting things done without ever asking what your opinoin is or if you have another suggestion of how to get a particular task accomplished.

    Keep on keeping on.
