Pros
Good reputation, strong financials, conservative environment, some good managers
Cons
Glacial innovation, byzantine internal structure
Advice to Senior Management
Truly encourage innovation. That means sometimes living with mistakes made in the course of trying new things. If all you do is punish mistakes, you end up with a work force that avoids any risk and nothing gets done. Secondly, just fire everyone in the EDS group. They are useless. Working with them is like dealing with mafiosos who also work for the government.
Pros
decent benefits, great team, and it keeps you moving!
Cons
we work hard, and it seems with the reduction of workers in a branch, we need to be paid more
Advice to Senior Management
compensate your workers!
Pros
It's a job. The work itself is interesting, and if you are a self motivated profesional, you can find plenty of work that needs to be done.
Cons
Inhouse politics instead of managerial team leadership. Lack of insight regarding structural costs. Waste of resources - human and financial.
Advice to Senior Management
Streamline processes and make investments to protect the ability to provide quality service levels. Cutting out coffee don't cut it. Asking people to do more with less is not a long term solution to staying competitive. Cut out all the "team member" sloganeering and treat your staff as an important resource, not a fungible item.
Pros
Teammates are friendly and encouraging; management is very down to earth.
Cons
In-store hours are long. There are too many conference calls, meetings, etc.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good work.
Pros
free checks and thats about it
Cons
terrible managers and team leaders
Advice to Senior Management
more knowledgable managers
and less personal knowledge
Pros
Lots of vacation and holiday time
Cons
Too many backstabbers. People are not allowed to do their jobs. Raises are crappy or nonexistent. Overly political for no reason.
Advice to Senior Management
Trust people to do their jobs. Stop backstabbing. Talent is continuously pushed away because of politics.
Pros
Working at my office has truly been a pleasure because of the teammates and clients that I get to see daily. They're reason I am excited to go to work everyday.
Cons
Hours are to long in an in-store. Senior management doesn't seem to take in-store teams or teammates seriously. Movement in company seems to be solely based on who you know and not individual performance or accomplishments for the bank.
Pros
Name recognition, salary and benefits.
Cons
Members of my group were incredibly negative and demoralizing.
Pros
There are many opportunities to grow as long as you do your part.
Cons
If you start off with a lower pay, it will be very hard to get more money.
Advice to Senior Management
Make a more fair pay scale.
Pros
Friendly co-workers. Good working hours and vacations.
Cons
Not very much training opportunities.
