Pros
Easy, relaxed. Flexible with giving you time to do your own thigs. Few good perks like accounts etc.
Great new office space
Cons
Poor leadrship, big talk about advancement but the hr staff is very lax and doesnt return emails to employees, great place if you have low expectations,
Advice to Senior Management
Dont expect leadership or growth to be a strong point. Its a great place if your relaxed and dont mine occassional overtime without pay
Pros
If you want, you can work here until you retire. a lot of dead weight waiting to retire.
Cons
No growth. Company is stagnant.
Advice to Senior Management
Do something - anything.
Pros
Great Company, small bank compared to our competitors. Primarily a SouthEast Bank. Training is ongoing and management wants to see you move up to the next position. Has very competitve rates compared to our competitors which makes it easy to sell. If you are licensed you can actually talk about the products, where some banks make you refer it to the FA. Offers attractive 402k and pension, decent health care benefits.
Cons
You need to negotiate good pay from the start because its hard to get increased. I moved from a small paying position to what I thought was a higher paying position, but since my officer level didnt change much neither did my pay. I worked hard for comission which the bank started off paying you well on but as the economy wasnt doing well it made it easy for SunTrust to give you less and less. I was given the chance to study for licenses but since staffing was short my time was taken away and never looked at again.
Advice to Senior Management
Management should follow thru with promises and be more consistant. Manager tells you to use one way of sales aproach which is a bank wide way, but when this takes too much time and he has to service clients he doesnt like the sales approach and just wants the bankers to get on to the next client.
Pros
Competent managers, good training opportunities, strong footprint, many lateral career opportunities, conservative credit culture, good work environment, good work-life balance
Cons
Change and improvements at the bank can be slow, although this has improved somewhat. There is a lack of diversity.
Pros
Benefits are great, and the potential for growth
Cons
Not country wide, so therefore the margin for growth is high
Advice to Senior Management
keep communicating with all the employees
Pros
Benefits, stability, hours, holidays, are all nice.
Cons
Ridgid, boring, political can make this place very frustrating.
Advice to Senior Management
Help employees who are spinning their tires. Some of the best employees that I have seen at SunTrust, no longer work at SunTrust.
Pros
Prestige, image and the challenge
Cons
Completely micromanaged and mistrusted. Why?
Advice to Senior Management
When you hire someone based on their ability, let them do the job!
Pros
Great benefits including vacation, sick days, pension plan and 401k matching. Advancement opportunities with extensive training programs available to help with your career goals.
Cons
Constant change leaving employees trying to keep clients happy. Unrealistic goals that that set employees up for failure. Expects perfection when it comes to customer satisfaction never asking why a customer maybe dissatisfied simply making the employee take the full blame.
Advice to Senior Management
Think of what it is like to work on the front lines and have to be the one who deals with the clients with the constant change. Sometimes when it comes to a client satisfaction survey the employee doesn't always have control of situation there are external factors.
Pros
the benefits package is very good
Cons
the pay is terrible and the leadership does not recognize good work
Pros
One of the best reason to work for the company are the benenfits
Cons
Not able to advance within different areas of the Bank
