I have been working at SunTrust full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Hour lunches, Cafeteria on site

    Cons

No back to back days off, fired employees of over 20 years after outsourcing, went in as temp with the understanding would be hired on, and notified after a month that the department was ending. Stressful environment, management does not acknowledge the positives of your work, but makes you feel that nothing you do is ever good enough. OUtsourcing all departments without considering employees affected. Does not actually even care about customers, works hard to NOT pay fraud claims, or make it hard for them to do things with their accounts. Closes accoutns then leaves it to others to explain. You must stay in any position you are hired into for a year before you can move around.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to respect your employees, stop treating them as though they are nothing. Consider giving two back to back days off, and treating them like they actually matter.

I worked at SunTrust full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I built some great relationship with the customers via long term retention building. It open the door for some strong sales leads and the ability to develop strong good leads.

    Cons

Management was very poor and not well trained. They were constantly pressured the employee to produce even thought banking was ungoqing some fundamental changes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The should undergo more training on the retail floor.

I worked at SunTrust part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The pay was decent and depending on the location, the flow was steady.

I worked at SunTrust full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Benefits, decent culture where most people were doing what they should. Spirit weeks and other perks. Pretty good pay to start, especially for a call center.

    Cons

Lots of lazy managers, and while the position says it's customer service, don't be fooled. It started out there were no sales goals or incentives, then it changed to there is commission but sales aren't required, then it became mandatory sales goals, and eventually you can't even apply to another department that doesn't have sales goals (like process quality) unless you are meeting your sales goals.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your trainers are dummies and most of your managers are lazy and useless.

I worked at SunTrust full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

good pay, good benfits and job stability

    Cons

Poor management, shift bids, un caring staff, poor work hours and very mean staff

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You’re going to have employees that are student so you should work with them on their class hour and help them out. This will help them out and want them to stay with the company after working. Also care a little about the employees and a lot of this has to do with public company so I know this is out of your control but other company have done it. Also when speaking to a employee don’t put them to the side office alone. A manger did this to me and maid up a story that got me fired I could not fight it. it was her word agents mine. I heard from friends that she was fired for jus that act.
