    I worked at SunTrust

    Pros

pretty good pay when we were getting bonuses for our performance.

    Cons

upper management wanted calls to be filled with quality but wanted you to hurry up and answer the next call. The agents are rated by the customers but the decisions on claims are made by someone else and if the customer doesn't like the response they will give you a falling grade because of policies out off your control. They are also outsourcing India.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out how to compensate the agents better and you will get better performance. Maybe bring back the $400 bonus for performance

I worked at SunTrust full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Nice co-workers and decry benefits

    Cons

The pay here is a joke. Don't expect to start with an entry-level position and advance quickly due to performace as you'll more than likely be pigeon-holed into your starting salary range and job role forever.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize top performers and don't play the salary cap game or you'll lose talented people who deserve better.

I have been working at SunTrust full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    Hour lunches, Cafeteria on site

    Cons

No back to back days off, fired employees of over 20 years after outsourcing, went in as temp with the understanding would be hired on, and notified after a month that the department was ending. Stressful environment, management does not acknowledge the positives of your work, but makes you feel that nothing you do is ever good enough. OUtsourcing all departments without considering employees affected. Does not actually even care about customers, works hard to NOT pay fraud claims, or make it hard for them to do things with their accounts. Closes accoutns then leaves it to others to explain. You must stay in any position you are hired into for a year before you can move around.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to respect your employees, stop treating them as though they are nothing. Consider giving two back to back days off, and treating them like they actually matter.
