    Pros

Great products, very caring management team, decent pay, and a GREAT culture. Management very caring. Clear goals and objectives.

    Cons

    Always undercapitalized...
Some parts of the company are silo'd, but that's improving.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Raise capital and bring in more professional management.

    Pros

People were very nice and easy to get along with. I enjoyed working there for the most part, but that was before GFI bought the company.

    Cons

Many IT employees were very clicky and many unwilling to share and protecting their domains. Not the best place for sharing and learning. There was a strange click going on with Scientology where many execs were part of the church. After GFI bought the company everything changed, the owner of the company left to start his own training company across the street (strange).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I cannot comment on the changes after the regime change. But it seemed a little odd that the top 3 guys that took over the company had other companies all run through Malta and CFO had setup all the tax shelters for their many enterprises, I am for avoidance, but it just seemed a little shady.

    Pros

Good culture and overall environment of the company. Good opportunities within the company to grow and advance. Company tries to take care of their employees and are open to new ideas.

    Cons

The pay was a little bit on the light side. It is a good company to cut your teeth at but may need to leave and come back in order to stay competitive in pay scales.

I have been working at Sunbelt Software

    Pros

the best reasons to work for Sunbelt Software include diversity of work and long term company potential as we turn away from the distribution model and become a free standing product development company. The heart of the company is the engineering organization and this has some good managers who seem intent on building a modern software engineering company.

    Cons

immature organization, only a few outstanding people. Many of the key managers are not high quality leaders, and senior leadership does not have a coherent unified strategy for moving the company forward. There's too much compartmentalization and lack of transparency in management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

we're not a distribution company anymore
