I worked at Suncor full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

50/50 shot at management visibility. If you don't have it, best to leave or just contract. If you do, you have a shot at a great well-paid career.

    Cons

Not many cons considering many criticisms come with this size of the company, but it is challenging to catch the attention of those once they are on their lucrative succession path. Hard to blame them once you realize what is at stake.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Dump systemic people management and just get to know your reports personally.
