    Pros

Working at Sundance may not be the most prosperous decision in the world, but all in all, it'll pass as a wicked sweet college job. As a snowboard instructor, we had weekly (if not more) teaching trainings by our supervisors. We had exclusive customer service trainings by top professionals in the field. Supervisors were extremely easy to talk to, and the job was flexible to accommodate a school/family schedule. Working with clients, you make awesome connections with families from all over the world. Your office is the beautifully snow-capped mountains. And you get a free season pass and a built in community of great riders. What more could you ask for?

    Cons

It doesn't pay the greatest. Each year they place a cap on wages. However, if you get certified as an instructor, your wages increase. So paying up front to get certified really is worth it. Also, lessons aren't entirely steady after the holidays. You may show up to teach, and there is nobody signed up for lessons.

    Pros

Great staff, great benefits, beautiful resort, often get to meet really interesting people.

    Cons

Hard to have to work on weekends and over Holidays. Work was not very interesting or stimulating.

    Advice to Management

Could advertise different aspects of the resort better, so they bring in more business. Art studios, for example!

  3. Good place to work at, but undermined by arrogant and ambitious management

    Pros

Good benefits for entry-level or higher hiree. Good rapport with the employees except managers under pressure.

    Cons

Unreasonably smug and arrogant managers. Very stressful work environment. No proportionate break if business is busy the full shift (applicable to restaurant business). Pompous, haughty atmosphere.

    Advice to Management

Be reasonable to employees and lessen frustration on working organization and improve rapport. Minimize pompous feeling of the work environment, considering owner Bob is viewed as a a pompous individual, reflective of the political alignment that affects the work experience by promoting unwarranted self-importance, especially overemphasis on environmental consciousness.

Some of the best people I have ever worked with.

    Cons

Micro-management is pervasive from the top down. Management does not seem to value employees.

  7. I think Sundance has potential to be a great place to work but employees are not treated with enough respect.

    I worked at Sundance Resort

    Pros

Sundance gives the opportunity to reach new positions. Team is usually friendly and willing to help; good relationship within departments. Beautiful place to work; the view, mountains, and nature. Started with good benefits.

    Cons

Benefits were cut over time. Pay rates raises for employees were frozen for numerous years. Need a reliable car during winter and if avalanches occurr be prepared to spend at least a couple of hours in your time over there. Employees are asked to work with minimum resources, as many of tools are not provided due to budget concerns.
