Pros
Sunrise Medical provided a good work life balance and flexibilty, the Finance team was a very cohesive well run group.
Also provided reasonable oppurtunity to grow.
Cons
The business Eexctuives were slow to react to changes in the manufacturing arena with all of the outsourcing to China, and therefore possible lost some opportunities for cost reductions.
Advice to Senior Management
Be more innovative, to enable you become the market leader.
Pros
Opportunity to learn new things if your manager allows you to learn. Have support from colleagues if you are helpful to them.
Cons
Salary may be lower than average for individual contributor. Lack of career growth unless your manager wants to grow your career.
Pros
The people are holding the company together and that creates a tight bond with your co-workers. HR does a good job with limited resources. If you are in the right crowd, expense are never an issue
Cons
No leadership from top management. Poor product development, suspect quality, and terrible corporate culture. The constant change in senior management has caused serious problems with the culture, product vision, and customer relationships. 4 VP of Sales in 5 years and 3 CEOS in 5 years.
Advice to Senior Management
Spend more time developing innovative products, holding Engineering accountable, and developing consistent Sales & Marketing strategies. By the way, Cannizzarro is no longer running the show.
Pros
Improving people's lives and being a part of the results
Cons
Constant change and direction and management
Advice to Senior Management
Bring back the culture
Pros
product creation was encouraging and great to see it made
Cons
HR sucks and no raises for those not in Management
Advice to Senior Management
stop accepting bonuses and give back to employees who do the real work
Pros
Manufacture products that improve people's lives.
Cons
Upper Management and their decisions to cut cost in exchange for a quality product. Employee morale is all time low as jobs are being moved from the states to China. Too corporized as an associate culture is gone as you are just an employee for the corporation. They do not promote family values and all they care is the bottom line.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop doing business with China. Listen to lower management as they have found ways to manufacture at current sites and still be competitive with China. China maybe inexpensive piecewise but quality is poor and inconsistant. In the end, China bought products will equal US manufactured products with all of the customer complaints and product returns.
