  1. Not much interaction, but not much needed since there are no benefits except a paycheck.

I have been working at Sunrise Systems

    Pros

Pay is on time. Company checks in from time to time.

    Cons

Small outfit. The paperwork to get started was ridiculous. They made me find a notary on my own and then later handled it themselves once I was refused by 5 different places

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make it easier to get information. On website. When calling company some reps can be very unprofessional and are disrespectful to your questions.

I worked at Sunrise Systems as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

They were helpful in prepping for the interview with the company. They seemed to be on point with what I needed to know and points I should touch on in the interview.

    Cons

You are paid bi-monthly. The pay is delayed by two weeks, so you are not paid until a month after you start. They do not have offices in most states. Therefore, I never met any of the people I was dealing with during the recruitment process. Once I was contracted and working, they were completely out of contact. They did not answer phone calls and occasionally might answer an e-mail. And once the contract ended, they did not answer any phone calls or e-mails period. Perhaps this was an unusual experience, but even if it was, I felt I should share it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change to a weekly pay cycle. Have offices in the states where you employ people, or if you do not, at least answer phone calls and e-mails with questions more frequently. Be available for you contractors.

I have been working at Sunrise Systems as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

    Pay check arrives on time

    Cons

HR is disgusting (except one or tow members).
They will make your life hell if they need anything from you and they will irritate you as much as they can if you need anything from them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find some qualified professionals to deal with consultants.
    HR department needs training.

I worked at Sunrise Systems as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

Payment is prompt; nice people; health insurance is very good. It is expensive for consultants, but many consulting firms do not offer this benefit to their employees (which is effective from day one). Recruiters are diligent but not overly pushy.

    Cons

It is hard to get terribly excited about a software consulting firm. Unlike a permanent job, the firm pretty much is just a conduit for getting paid. There is no communication or feedback at all during the course of the assignment. I have worked for some consulting firms (not many) where the account manager is a presence in my life and where there would be recourse if I was not happy about something. With Sunrise, if I was not happy with my position, I feel like the only recourse would have been to leave. There is no career development, so if a position ends, you are unemployed unless they just happen to have a position with another client. You can be terminated without notice, in which case there is no severance pay of any sort.

This is the nature of contract work and is not a rap on Sunrise per se. Overall, I found them nice to work for and hope that I will be able to return in the future.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your holiday party is phenomenal, but maybe there is a better way to keep your consultants engaged during the rest of the year.

    Pros

Grate co-workers, a team environment. Senior employees are willing to mentor. all in all good place to work.

    Cons

No major Cons that I can thing of. need to remember that this is still relatively a small organization, thus if you want to have the expectation of some large organization one would be setting themselves up for disappointment.

I worked at Sunrise Systems as a contractor

    Pros

There are no pros dealing with this company!

    Cons

Very pushy, very rude and belligerent. If you indicate that the job may not be a good fit, because it doesn't pay enough, they call you over and over until you submit. Not the way to run a business!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Tell your recruiters to LISTEN to the candidate. If the candidate doesn't think the job is a good fit, for whatever reason, STOP PUSHING THEM!!!!

I have been working at Sunrise Systems as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

This is a pretty good temporary agency. At the beginning of my job, someone was contacting me at least once a week to made sure I was happy and comfortable with my work.

    Cons

This company is in another state - sometimes, communicating just over the phone was ok - but it wasn't like anything when you meet in person. Also, I was given the opportunity to get health insurance, but it was rather expensive, so I did not get any insurance.
