    Pros

Great boss very easy going wonderful to work with, Phone allowance, Gas allowance, seems the management really cares about their employees and how they are taken care of. I felt the need and desire from management to succeed in their work. Pay was set decent as well.

    Cons

Little or no Sales Job training, not much room to advance, tech was out of date and not working well for salesmen, ie battery not chargeable for phone, Sometimes boss was unable to get to phone to answer questions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

New phones for everyone, Salary for salesmen, Management opportunities for experienced rep,

    Pros

Great job if you do not like being in the office all day. You spend of the day working outside. It is good paying job and fun to do most days. Most of the supervisor are good guys expect for one.

    Cons

The hours can be long some days. There are also some dirty customer homes you have to go into sometimes. The FCR score hard to keep good.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Lower the FCR score.

    Pros

It is good pay, they have Kaiser health care and a 401k. Last year I made 75k and I am a high school drop out with a GED. They offer paid on the job trainng for new techs looking to learn a new career.

    Cons

It could be long hours. Dealing with upset customers can cause some not so fun days. I wish they would do away with FCR scores. It has to many things you cannot control.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do away with FCR scores. It is hard to control if boxes or modem go bad.

I have been working at Sunshine Communications

    Pros

You get a chance to meet different people in their homes where they are most comfortable. It is this part of the job that makes it one where an individual would want to continue to work in the telecommunications field as a cable installer. You really get a chance to meet different people from all walks of life.

    Cons

No room for advancement, lack of respect, compensation plan isn't commensurate with the job function or other similar jobs. The overhead cost to a technician can be very over bearing as the company doesn't compensate according to your specific talent or the cost to work for them. Long hours for very low compensation is a daily phenomenon.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand that great ideas can come from anyone in your organization if you're willing to listen and make changes. Open up to new talent and new ideas as the world around you is changing so should you. Here's an idea management can implement now. Try compensating your employees according to their level of expertise and how well they perform their respective job functions. Create a corporate culture that encourages your employees to aspire to be great.

It's an inconsistent paycheck, but a paycheck none-the-less I suppose.

    Cons

•paid per job - inconsistent work and fluctuating paychecks
    •extensive personal vehicle driving

    Doesn't Recommend
