The company succeeds in spite of the management - worked at SuperD for 3 years

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at SuperDerivatives full-time for more than 3 years

ProsLocation, the peers are amazing, good vacation days and a few other perks. There are new products being developed to expand and reach new markets.

ConsSenior management seems to make decisions based on whims... Projects are often launched with no strategy and impossible time frames. HR is also not very capable of handling employee relations with direct managers. This dynamic makes it very difficult to commit to the company.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire new management that have actual experience leading projects and people. And show some appreciation for your employees, moral is low.

Really poor R&D, lack of focus, terror atmosphere, don't pay commissions, no salary increases.

Good times, bad times ... not unlike any job you'll ever have ... but SuperD is not a place for the thin-skinned!

Sales (Former Employee)

I worked at SuperDerivatives full-time for more than 3 years

ProsThere are some great, bright, dedicated people at SuperD, particularly the product managers. SD-FX and IR are valuable tools. When I was there, SD-EQ, CD and CM were not viable products, but this may have improved over the last few years.

ConsSenior management tend to run the place as if it was an extension of the IDF, although I suspect that if you were to actually serve in the IDF you would encounter much greater levels of respect and honourable behaviour than what occurs daily at SuperD. Middle management bow to Senior Management's harsh practices and tend to bully, chastise and berate, rather than inspire and lead from the front. There is a bit of a revolving door atmosphere at SuperD. If you can take the flak, the rewards can be substantial, but be ready to be cut loose at any given moment because your face no longer fits.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe more open, honest and supportive of your most valuable asset, your employees. Stand up against senior management when you know that what you are being asked to do is ethically questionable. Praise in public, criticise in private.
