I have been working at Supermedia full-time for more than a year
Pros – Benefits are good, commission not bad and my co-workers are great.
Cons – Management (well really one) is the worst micromanager I have ever seen. There is no support from managers. They love to tell us what to do, lyrics to use but couldn't sell ice cubes to an Eskimo. Phone book is dead and too late for Internet world. Can't sell a product if you know it doesn't work.
Advice to Senior Management – Why don't you ever listen to the MC's when we complain about our bosses or anything. Do you really think that 5 people quit in 4 months and all had the same thing to say and of course nothing was done. Have Management on the phones selling too. They did it 10 years ago but have no clue whats it like calling someone asking them to advertise. Practice what you preach.

I have been working at Supermedia full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – People who works at the local offices
Cons – Products, Fulfillment, Upper management, resources (TNS studies are from 2010), Alot more!
Advice to Senior Management – Our company started sinking since 2009. Please ACKNOWLEDGE print is dying and invest some money in our on-line products, instead of trying to resell for yext or google (orange). Goals are just outrageous. (out of 1500 or so mc's and only hand full of them sold 50 new business for the year in 2012. Our goal is 50 new business per mc now) we are losing clients because company fulfillment process sucks! period.

Cancelled Retirement Health Benefits.
Greedy Executives
No compassion for employees that were dedicated for many years
Advice to Senior Management – Stop outsourcing and save American Jobs

I worked at Supermedia full-time for more than a year
Pros – Good compensation compared to other ad sales jobs locally.
Initial training. Paid. training and trainers are fabulous.
Pushing digital products now, but late to the game.
Co-workers.
Phone support when you have an issue was awesome!
Office support people were extremely helpful, thanks!
Many businesses in my areas profit from their investment and value it.
40 hour work weeks.
Freedom and independence allowed by my manager.
Cons – Old school motivation from senior regional management.
Some local management styles. Some cannot manage or coach people effectively. Ask your potential manager their management style before you accept a position. Run from any hint of a style contrary to your needs and likes. (True everywhere.)
Declining core product. But evolving other digital product sales opps (see Pros) might save the day.
Make sure you like the one call, no relationship selling. Work new clients every year and lose out on the consistency many clients would enjoy.

I worked at Supermedia full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – I worked with fantastic people!
Cons – Management need to be revised.
Advice to Senior Management – Hire someone who did not hate the employees she managed. You could not believe anything she said. Certain workers were singled out and picked on for no work reasons. One worker was blamed for errors on an account and she was on medical leave at the tome.

I worked at Supermedia full-time for less than a year
Pros – Benefits. Thats it. Oh, and nice kitchen
Cons – I could write a book but: Bad Business, Super Micro Managemet, horrible managers, the worst pay, just a bad company all around, never worked so hard for so little money, they will burn you out, thankless job, the paperwork is ungodly, they treat business owners like a slab of meat. I feel bad for the business owners
Advice to Senior Management – take a management course, read a book, get a clue

I worked at Supermedia full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – The pay is good if you lack ethics! From the 2 month brainwashing, I mean training to the "do whats right for the customer" but sell them what we tell you to, it is a Hypocritical sinking ship.
Cons – Management lie to the employees going as far as creating bogus surveys & hiding the real ones showing how unhappy everyone really is. The company was a good one when it was Verizon, & even in the Idearc years it wasn't a bad place to work, but as the massive decline in yellowpage use occurs, the requirements & workload go up while decreasing your pay & benefits. I was a top performer & saw my annual pay decrease 20% each year over the last 4 years. Benefits are awful though they promise you the world. Management also covers up physical abuse & sexual harassment of employees. If you talk, you lose your job, so most good people quit.
Advice to Senior Management – Please stay on your ship so you an go down with it. Bon Voyage, & stop taking hard working small business' money. This program made me give you 1 star.
