    So Glad I Work Here

I have been working at SuprTek full-time

    Pros

SuprTEK is continuously giving back to its employees - and this is on top of its wide-ranging benefits, generous salaries, and career growth (for the self-starters)! Which other companies send a large holiday smoked turkey or ham to EVERY employee to ensure they have a festive holiday meal? And SuprTEK is in the rarified company of those firms that sends a share of its profits for distribution amongst each work center. In an effort to help all employees progress in their careers SuprTEK provides not one but two expansive video training libraries containing thousands of IT and Management courses. Also a very valuable benefit - SuprTEK provides a Safe Harbor 401(K) Plan that guarantees matching for participants. And there is always a helpful employee available online or via telephone to answer questions that come to mind. For employees that understand they are being paid to produce a service or product for their employer, SuprTEK is a wonderful place to work.

    Cons

For anyone wishing to come to work late, snooze during the workday, and leave early without delivering value - they will not fare well in this hard-working, professional services organization. But other than this warning to slackers - the only con seen is needing to personally ensure you maintain an effective work/life balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate more effectively the many benefits you are providing to all employees - some do not seem to understand how unique your perks are!

I have been working at SuprTek

    Pros

Truly care about their employees, wanting them to succeed and acknowledges their hard work, lots of opportunities to move up & grow within the company, extremely generous (Parties, break room stocked, bonuses, ham/turkey for the holidays, etc.) and friendly staff with great morale. Provides free learning courses to expand one's skills, management's door is almost always open to discuss any issues which may be good or bad, offers 401k matching and every single person is important or they would not be here if they weren't.

    Cons

I don't really have any cons.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to acknowledge employee's hard work. They will feel appreciative and go the extra mile for the company.

    Pros

Company fair, provides competitive salaries, good benefits and still provides those small things that make a difference in the job (Xmas parties, celebration lunches, Xmas gifts, etc). Training opportunities provided. Potential for education reimbursement. 401K mandatory matching.

    Cons

There are some inefficiencies at higher levels

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Modest health benefits, leave is ok

    Cons

Poorly ran company - everyone is either in denial or is trying to scam the employees. Clients are not happy with end results.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Begin the process of staffing early on and hire good people. Those with any skills are looking elsewhere - the one's that stay cant make it in the real world. Just a matter of time before all collapses.

I have been working at SuprTek full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Some nice, talented people work there who are desperately trying to do what's right. HR and support staff really try.

    Cons

The company is run like a revolving door. It has been re-organized, and reshuffled on average every 3 years. It will soon lose its 'small business status' and has nothing to offer its federal clients that they can’t get elsewhere. This has resulted in a hand wringing siege mentality. People who are smart and have an opinion learn quickly to keep that opinion to themselves, and nod their head. The company truly cares for their employees as long as you are making them money. Since there's no desire to invest time, effort, and especially money it's easy to become a casualty. Executive management (C-level) and Operations (VP-level) do not get along - placing the employee in the middle of a no-win ego battle.

If you go there, remember there are 3 rules:

    1- You are disposable

2- Management is always right (although which management branch you follow will give you different answers)

3- If you disagree or can’t understand rule #2 - See rule #1

And ask what happened to the individual who had the job previous to you (and previous to her, and so-on ... before you take the job - any job)
