I have been working at SurModics
Pros – Flexible with time, (ie. being able to leave for an appt and come back to work). Not always so routine. Tasks and projects may vary month to month.
Cons – No good checks and balances system for management. No recognition to the hard working individuals which in turn causes dissatisfaction and bad relationships between a person and their manager. 401K matching has stopped for almost a year, yearly raises have simply been cost of living adjustments (if that much).
Advice to Senior Management – Open your eyes and pay attention to who is working and what is being done. Be more appreciative of someone giving their all and their time to the company.
