    Pros

It's a very good restaurant to work because you're usually helping people or customers and there is never argument

    Cons

In the kitchen they do take a while to get some of the orders out it's because they're doing that fresh but that's really what takes the time and a delay on the food

  2. This is one of those companies that people quit because of bad management and/or upper management.

I worked at Sushi Zushi full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The employee's are nice, the food is "okay", the work environment can be good, you'll learn a lot if your new, very laid back on discipline, and schedules (which can also be abused)

    Cons

There is a wall for the amount to your paycheck depending on position and responsibilities (e.g. a dish washer who also cooks will get maybe a .50 cent to a $1 raise from his original pay or $9.00), your opinions, suggestions, and criticism mean little to upper employees and upper management. Management only listens to corporate and corporate reacts slowly, irrational, and emotional be very careful of ranting or venting.

    Advice to Management

consider the values and morals of the employee's when hiring, be more assertive on things that must be done ("It's not my job") should not be coming from management. Care more about the restaurants needs rather than the sales & labor.

I have been working at Sushi Zushi part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible job that really focuses on personal sales to customers as well. Fun environment. Very laid back. Had fun going to work most days.

    Cons

Upper Management is a wreck, constant turnover at the lower level and the lower managers are held accountable for sales that just won't/can't happen. Tension is constantly felt between "Corporate" and lower management and the buck is always passed. Started a 7 days a week happy hour which completely changed the market yet sales per person were expected to increase. Kitchen and sushi line constantly fall apart leading to long ticket times and disgruntled customers.

    Advice to Management

Take a few business classes and accept responsibility for failures. Passing the buck is unprofessional and unproductive.
