Pros
- Free food
- Good amount of talented individuals
- Friendly employees
- Easy to obtain help
- Relaxed and upbeat environment
- "Unlimited" sick days
Cons
- Salary is quite not as competitive as other trading firms
- Talents are extremely varied amongst individuals
- Salary should be considered reasonable for many individuals, but not all
- Limited vacation days
Advice to Senior Management
- Higher quality control
- More competitve salaries
- Fix by hiring more talented, hard-working individuals to balance out (but this is difficult as interviews do now show this)
- Five more vacation days would be great
Pros
1. Good work culture
2. Opportunity to work with many smart people and efficient teams
3. Free food
Cons
1. Slow professional growth
2. Compensation not impressive in comparison to firms within the same industry and similar role objectives
Advice to Senior Management
To keep the salary compensation on par with the market expectations for respective professional role within same industry
Pros
Good working environment.
Employs some of the best talented people.
Free breakfast, lunch and snacks.
Onsite Gym etc.
Cons
Average salary and poor career growth opportunity.
Pros
My present Team is fine
Cons
Salary compensation need to be adjusted to industry standards
Advice to Senior Management
Reward people who add value
Pros
Food provided all day, free gym, all employees show respect and professionalism, casual environment is productive, and many opportunities for interns here. Bala location is 13 minutes from the Philadelphia area, with a Target conveniently located across the street
Cons
7am to 5pm work days can easily wear you out....but they compensate you for the longer workweek....I turned down much higher paying jobs to work here (but the position makes up for it)
Pros
Great freedom and autonomy given to newer employees in project work; good, casual environment; flat office hierarchy (which can be appealing)
Cons
If you don't fit the bill for "trader" as an AT, you're bound to get fired without forewarning; flat office hierarchy (which limits advancement)
Advice to Senior Management
The education department could do better keeping ATs informed about their performance and risk of being let go.
Pros
Free lunches, gym, social events
Cons
Lack of career advancement - no career path
Pros
Responsibility is earned, and granted.
Cons
Severe restrictions on personal trades. Took away cookies at lunch.
Advice to Senior Management
Please stop trying to regulate the food we eat. Let the skinny people eat what they want.
Pros
SIG is a place filled with smart people with a great community. Free lunch. Comfortable environment to collaborate with others. Challenging work at times with many resources and people to learn from.
Cons
It is difficult at times to see your future at SIG when you are not on a particular track.
Pros
The learning environment is great.
Cons
The pay is less than similar jobs else where.
Advice to Senior Management
People with good contribution should be paid better.
